Just came back from a short training conducted by my boss, related to Front Line Reconciliation. Well actually it's not compulsory to Finance team, but since my assistant manager so kecoh and asked me to join even after she saw that I was in the middle of doing something, so I just joined in the training. Nothing much about the training, since it's actually focusing on educating the brokers. Then, came to the Case Study section, and my boss used my August reconciliation as an example. I felt overwhelmed when she complimented my work, telling everyone that it's the most direct and comprehensive reconciliation so far.
Until she credited my other colleague who was assisting her at that time for MY WORK! And the best part is, my colleague just sat there and took the credits without shame. I was sitting there, right in front of her, and she knew for a fact that I was the one who did the recon. No wonder they had been pushing me to complete my recon and investigate all the outstanding items! I swear I was about to leave the training room immediately after that but it would only make me look like a fool so I decided to just stay put in the room.
Seriously, I don't expect any credits or compliments for the jobs that I've done, no matter how excellent it was done. But, giving credits to someone who certainly doesn't deserve any, especially for my work, it is utterly intolerable!
Great! As if this week isn't bad enough.
