I heard sounds of sirens, blue and red lights flashing outside of my house. So I went outside to see what was going on and I saw a huge fire truck outside of my neighbour's house. I couldn't see Tan Sri Wan Mokhtar or any of his children outside his house.
1 hour later.
The truck is still there outside my house, as I'm writing this one down. I hope it's nothing serious. Reminds me of last year's incident, an ambulance came to his house in the middle of the night, his son was rushed to the hospital. Sigh. I just hope everything will turn out well.

Maid angau

Okay, don't tell me that I didn't try.

Went into my room, was trying to get some sleep but my maid, who happens to share the same bedroom as I am, is on the phone with her nth boyfriend. Talking oh so loudly, I can't barely listen to my own thoughts.

Arghhhh!

Gonna be one helluva attractive walking zombie tomorrow.

I found an interesting article which wrote on a ‘fascinating’ belief, well at least for men, which takes place during the Hungry Ghost month. As most of us know, for many Chinese, this particular month is considered unlucky as they believe that the Hell Gate opens throughout the month, allowing ghosts to return to our world.

A minority tribe in China, known as The Yi, has their own way to celebrate this month. The Yi people who are still single, will head to the streets to celebrate the Breast Touching Festival. Yes, you read it right. The festival, known as Monai Jie, takes place on the 14th, 15th and 16th of the month. During this festival, the men are allowed to touch the women’s breasts.

Legend has it that the festival began around the Sui Dynasty when most of the teenagers of the Yi tribe were forced into the army and many of them died in war. The people then performed prayers to honor the dead and was held in the seventh month, the Hungry Ghost month.

According to the shamans, the dead were in an unrest state because they had not touched a woman before. Therefore, they wanted 10 “pure and untouched” ladies as their companions in the afterworld. In an effort to prevent them from being chosen, the single women then asked the men to touch their breasts, and the custom was passed down for generations.

Weird, but true.

Testing

Friday oh Friday

I MUST write this one down before I forget!

In the midst of tallying my insurer’s recon, I got a call from my admin officer. She was asking for my help with a simple math problem, percentage. So I helped her, explained to her how to calculate it out. Then she told me usually she’d ask another colleague of mine on this particular question as well. I ignored her story and continued explaining. Then after done explaining, she went like, “Correct ah? You sure ah? How come I don’t trust you wan?”

Speechless.

I just slammed the phone down. You don’t ask someone and tell em that you think his/her explanation is bullshit. Even if you think the answer given is kinda funny, you don’t go and tell that person “How come I don’t trust you wan?” Bodoh! Such a waste of time helping out a rude, retarded ah so. And then she called me again and ‘informed’ me that I can actually press the percentage button on the calculator and still get the same answer. Like I care?

I swear this company has the weirdest people you could ever
imagine. Psychos.

Finally, some time for a lil pampering. Baby is asleep, and I'm teman-ing Adik while she studies.

I had a team bonding program in Genting last week, for 3 days. It was super fun, we had to set up a company and were grouped into 4 departments. And we had to do all sorts of activities, indoor and outdoor. We had Explore Hunt, some Ninja Crossings, Firemen Crossings, and a good ol' Flying Fox. In the evening we had to organize an annual dinner, and every one had to perform. I had to do a duet with Kak Emma, and she insisted we do Dangdut. I swear I had no clue how to sing dangdut, not being mengada and all classy here. But, all in the name of team spirit, I did and to our surprise, we bagged the duet category. Cheers to us! Overall, my team won indoor and outdoor activities. I felt so healthy after that.

Prince William, yes, I used to have this HUGEEEE crush on him and dreamt that I will marry him when I turn 18. Ceh, perasan je lebih. He's finally wedded to Kate Middleton, girlfriend of 6 years. I could only see such pure love when they looked at each other as they were exchanging their vows. *tears*

Oh, enough for the updates. Adik is done with her study routine. We're gonna watch some DVDs before going off to bed.
Goodnight peeps.
