My girl is getting married this Saturday!

Tho I am very upset with the outcome of my bridesmaid's dress, I am still very excited and looking forward for the ceremony this weekend.

Sofia gave us this pretty songket and pink kain to make our bridesmaids' attire. Sad to say that it didn't turn out as I have imagined. Well, my request was very simple. I wanted a baju kurung modern with some trimmings of the songket to be sewn at the end of the sleeves. But I think it was sewn terribly, as if he got all the measurements mixed up or something. It turned out to be kind of pesak kurung but not proportionately sewn. Well, I can just ask the tailor to alter the top to make it fits nicely, but it is just time consuming. But probably I will just drop by tomorrow since I will be on leave for some court matters and later in the afternoon, my aunt wants to scout for mini dais for my engagement ceremony.

I have been postponing updates on a few recent weddings I've attended in the previous weeks. Nov 11th was the most anticipated date for most bride and grooms this year. Many of my friends chose that date for their weddings. One of them, my closest friend in Scomi, Nurul, got married and I was the maid of honor. Lutfi was the groom's pengapit, bidan terjun I might add. It was a simple wedding, attended by only family members and few close friends and colleagues from Scomi. Congrats Nurul and Azis!

The following week, attended Nizar and Shekin's wedding at Hilton Hotel in PJ. It was a lovely wedding, met many of my uni friends there. The video presentation was something different and entertaining. And the bride's wedding attire was so pretty with the headgear and all. Congrats to the both bride and groom! Too bad none of us brought our cameras so we didn't get to snap a pic or two of the newlywed. Haih. Tried to took pics using my not so canggih BB but the quality sucks because it was quite far. The only picture I have from the wedding is a picture of me and Haniza.

And I have a few other weddings this weekend, but I don't think I would be able to make it. Sorry :(

Another SKA wedding!

One of my girls is getting married very soon!

She sent a message to us girls last night when she broke the good news to us. Sofia's engaged! She told us that Arif proposed her a little more than a week ago and obviously she said yes! But nothing official yet because Arif's gonna meet her dad, Mr. Akwal, this weekend to do it in a proper way. But of course, she claims herself engaged already, official or not and I'm so happy for the both of youuuu, which reminds me, we're gonna be related soooooon, my future niece :)

Sofia and I had been arguing for as long as I could remember on who's gonna get hitched first. Of course I was a bit terasa since she's getting married soon way before me and she's gonna get the 12.12.12 date! Sigh. But put aside all of these emo crap. Honestly, I have been longing for another SKA wedding and now that Sofia's getting married soon, we have every reason to be happy and start planning soon.
Another engagement to look for, another bachelorette party to organize and yet another wedding to plan!

Gahhhh, I'm super exciteddd!

I've abandoned the blog for such a long time i feel like a 'sinner'. Sorry, been too caught up with work and family stuff.

Family's out for dinner. I'm on a strict diet, well for now. So I decided to stay home and catch up on things etc. Been extremely tired I feel like an old woman with 7 kids! Exaggerating tak? Lol.

Last week, together with my extended family, we went to Kg. Lenggeng in Negeri Sembilan as rombongan bertunang on behalf of pihak lelaki for my cousin, Nik Zakiuddin. He's my age and I couldn't believe when he told me he's getting engaged when we met in Kelantan for Hari Raya. He's one of my closest cousin and he used to teach me tai chi and IT stuff when we're kids. And now he's engaged! And his fiance's a cutie too :) Pandai pilih ye? Haha. Congrats Zaki and Zakiah! *See, nama pun dah dekat*

Well, I have several wedding invitations to attend really soon. But I don't think I can attend them all. So to those who are getting married, a hugeeeeee congratulations to the married and soon-to-be married couples and may you have blessed matrimony and the happy ever after you have always been longing for. Aminnn :)

Wedding of Atiqah & Nasrul

Attended the wedding of my closest friend in SDL this afternoon. Atiqah's finally started a new chapter, got married to her now husband, whom she dated for a year. I was enthralled by her love story, been out from a 6-year relationship and was introduced to Nasrul by a mutual friend. After going out for a couple of times as friends when he proposed her. The wedding was done after a year they've met. I'm not sure if I can be so spontaneous like that but she said to me, once you've met the right guy, you just know it.

I was almost in tears when I saw her just now. She looked amazing, with the lavender dress. I looked from far, she moved with poise and walked gracefully, well that was before she found us. After that, she's Atiqah again. Perangai so tak senonoh, I had to remind her that she's the bride before she calmed herself down. Omg she's so funny I love her to bits. I had fun teasing Nasrul as well. We met couple of times, he's a cool guy I must say.

To Atiqah and Nas, may your wedding marks the start of something beautiful. Have a blessed life and I can't wait to be an auntie pleaseeeee? Heee. Love love. Can't wait to meet Atiqah after this!

Nearly 4am and my eyes are still going gugu gaga over the online catalogues I've been browsing since the past 2 hours. Nothing's interesting on TV, wanted to watch WC but the match tonight is quite boring.

Went to Wajihah and Anas's wedding yesterday. A warm congrats to both bride and groom!
Dragged Iezzat to come over with me because we wanted to hang out after the wedding. Jiha looked so pretty, can't believe she's married now. The food was nice, we melantak like tak ingat dunia. After that, went back to PJ and hung out with Iezzat for a while and then picked up Adik from her guitar class.

Later in the evening, went to watch movie at Tropicana Mall with Angah and the two brats, Adik and Boboy. We watched A-Team, I love the sound and effects of the movie tho the story line was just okay for me. But the movie was freaking hilarious and I really think Bradley Cooper is smoking hot, with his 6 packs and all. Drools ladies, droooools.
Then, went to Bangsar for a quick dinner before heading home.

Mom told me just now that we're going to Melaka tomorrow. Haih. Sumpah tak larat :(
I guess I better sleep now. Tomorrow's gonna be a LONGGG day. And the day after tomorrow's going to be even longer. And so does the day after tomorrow tomorrow.

I just need a long vacation.

Dear Ms Bride To Be

It's nearly 1am and in less than 9 hours, my dear friend Murni will officially be someone's wife. I can't believe the BIG DAY is finally here! The first one among us to step into a new life.

Dear Mare,
Though we haven't been seeing each other much lately, but I just want you to know how happy and proud I am for you. Finally, a happy ending for you. I pray for your happiness and may this blessed holy matrimonial will last as long as the both of you shall live. I can't wait to meet little Murnis and Shahirs running around in the near future.

Look who's back

Finally, found myself some time to clean up the cobweb here.
It's been super ages, I know.

So many things to update, I don't even know which one to start with. Well, we won the cheerleading thingy we had in november. Apparently that was the first time the HQ people actually won something. I am coping better with my work load, not saying that I'm not as busy as I was before (in fact even busier since the auditors are here now). Managed to do all of my outstanding bank reconciliation and now it is up to date, which I consider it to be my BIGGEST achievement since I've started working. Now since I've mentioned it, 19th Jan is coming which meanssss, I've been working for a year! Like oh em gee kan? Can't believe how time flies. And we had our performance review last month and they're happy with my performance that they're thinking of giving me one or two projects for me to work on this year. Talking about more work here peopleee! Hopefully the bonus is goooooood. Need all the financial support I can get since I'm planning to head down under prolly this mid year, before my darling nikiee comes back for good.

Enough with the work updates.

Oh, and Brittany Murphy died. Sad innit? I always adore her selamba-ness in acting. Such a loss of a great talent. RIP.

December is a month full of weddings. My weekends were packed with wedding invitations and there are some which I couldn't attend since it clashes with my cousins' weddings.
A huge congratulations to my cousins, Hafiz and Mona, with their respective partners, Wanie and Zai, on their weddings. The weddings were beautiful, and I swear it made me even thought of getting married right away. On the 18th, it was the akad nikah for Hafiz and Wanie. Had it at Wanie's house on the night itself and she looked so gorgeous, I couldn't take my eyes off her and her baju sooooo prettyyyy! And they put up a tent for us, the groom's side, and it was sooooo breath taking. They had this pretty lights (the one yg kecik2 tu) lilit-ed all the way to the top of the tent. Haiyoh, so hard la to describe, but it was really pretty.
And then, on the 19th, went to Kuantan for Mona's majlis bertandang to Zai's house. I was the pengapit, it's a last minute thing, I swear. I mean, my baju did not even match the bride and groom's. Mona and I was really really super close when we were growing up, and I just stood there looking at her, GETTING MARRIED! Like crap, I'm her bridesmaid for God's sake. She was lovely, wearing all blue, standing next to Zai.
About the food, Oh My God! Like super effin friggin delicious okay. Kampung style is the way to go yo! We had nasi beriyani and ayam golek. The chicken was so sedap I ended up eating entah berapa pinggan pun I tak ingat. So sedap I think I have to go to Kuantan again and have that ayam golek (yummehhh).
On the 20th, it's Hafiz & Wanie's wedding reception. Held at Dewan JKR in KL. The pelamin was so pretty, it's like a garden-ish punya pelamin. As usual, the cousins had to be the usherettes. Nikiee and I were given the honour to embarrass ourselves in front of a whole lot of people, singing 'How Do I Live' as a special request that the groom's side had to send a representative for a performance. Gahhh! Never in a million years will I do that again.

The week after that, attended Mai and Farizan's wedding in Teluk Intan. Went there with my colleagues and enjoyed the food. So sedap! I think I have a thing with kampung cooked food (lol). Congrats to both bride and groom! Mai, dapat anak cepat-cepat ye. Hahaha.



I would like to congratulate Ariff and Fifi on their wedding. Couldn't attend since it clashed with Hafiz's wedding. Wishing them all the best for their new life.

And to Hamiza and husband, Congratulationssss on your wedding! So sorry I couldn't attend it since it clashed with Mona's wedding. Saw the pics and you look lovely Miza! Wishing you all the best and may you live happily married ever after.
