First stage, done.

I have abandoned this space for too long.

While browsing through some engagement and wedding stuff, yes I am getting married soon, I remembered that I indeed have a blog. Kesian.

Oh, sorry I missed that part. Yeap, I am getting married soon, in sha Allah :)

Alhamdulillah, after more than 4 years of getting to know each other, we have decided to take our relationship to the next step. Two weeks ago, our families were brought together in a simple hi-tea session at Royale Bintang The Curve for a "taaruf" session (UIA sangat~). We took the opportunity to discuss on the engagement ceremony, kind of merisik except there was no sarung cincin etc. I have already gotten my "merisik" ring wayyyyy earlier ;)

So, for now I might be blogging more on the preparation for engagement and wedding here. Unless there are other relatively important stuff to be updated. If I have time, I might just share my checklist should there be any "bride-to-be"s find it useful.

I always thought it would be fun and easy thing to do, this planning and preparation thingy. Well, I have to admit, it's super fun but not an easy thing. I am doing my very best ensuring that I will get this whole preparation and planning right. Hoping to get as close as possible to my dream wedding with limited budget.

After "merisik", with cousins, siblings and the best aunt in the whole wide world!

Well, that's it for now. Toodles~

The Night Our Hearts Got Stolen By Chris Carrabba

When I first heard that Dashboard Confessional was going to perform at the previous Rockaway Festival 2011, I was literally jumping up and down, called my sister to tell her the great news. I was lucky tho, as I was about to buy the tickets, my friend called and said that DC cancelled their gig. A huge disappointment. But then, a friend tweeted that DC would be coming down to KL in Feb 2012.

And yes, I was there last night, attending Dashboard Confessional Solo Acoustic Show at KL Live. Chris performed solo without his fellow bandmates. And he has proven to all of us that he still has 'it'. I grew up listening to his songs in my teen years. His songs connect to my emotion needs, songs which I can totally relate to at that point of time. And I shared the passion with the girls I grew up with during my uni days. I couldn't believe my eyes that the actual Chris Carrabba was standing in front of us, singing all the heartfelt songs while all of us sang along. And Chris really wowed us last night. He took my breath away.

Screaming Infidelities. Rapid Hope Loss. Belle of the Boulevard. Saints and Sailors. Dusk and Dawn. Again I Go Unnoticed. Don't Wait. As Lovers Go.

Those were among the songs he performed last night. But the highlight of the performance was when he sang 3 of his biggest hits back to back, Stolen-Vindicated-Hands Down. I think every single one of us was singing our hearts out when he played those songs. Epic. Just when he closed the show after Hands Down, all of us were starting to scream Encore!! We Want Moreeee!! yada yada the usual. He came back and performed The Best Deceptions. Oh man, seriously last night was to die for! And to see him live, up close and personal, totally worth every penny spent.

I hope he'll come down to KL soon enough, prolly this time with the whole band. To Chris, you made my dreams came true! Thanks for writing those beautiful songs, and please do us a favour and don't stop writing. We love youuuuuuu!

And yes, hands down that was the best day I can ever remember, always remember. And indeed you have stolen our hearts again and again.

Before the show

Chrisssss *drools*

Congrats!

Done with my Twilight updates.

I have been postponing updates on a few recent weddings I've attended in the previous weeks. Nov 11th was the most anticipated date for most bride and grooms this year. Many of my friends chose that date for their weddings. One of them, my closest friend in Scomi, Nurul, got married and I was the maid of honor. Lutfi was the groom's pengapit, bidan terjun I might add. It was a simple wedding, attended by only family members and few close friends and colleagues from Scomi. Congrats Nurul and Azis!

Us, during Nurul's bachelorette dinner

The following week, attended Nizar and Shekin's wedding at Hilton Hotel in PJ. It was a lovely wedding, met many of my uni friends there. The video presentation was something different and entertaining. And the bride's wedding attire was so pretty with the headgear and all. Congrats to the both bride and groom! Too bad none of us brought our cameras so we didn't get to snap a pic or two of the newlywed. Haih. Tried to took pics using my not so canggih BB but the quality sucks because it was quite far. The only picture I have from the wedding is a picture of me and Haniza.

And I have a few other weddings this weekend, but I don't think I would be able to make it. Sorry :(

Wishing all of my friends whom are getting married and those who have already got hitched, a HUGE congratulations and may happiness and Allah's blessings surround your life as you step to a whole new chapter!

Cuci anyone?

Cuci The Musical 2 - Hilarious from A to Z!

Went for Cuci The Musical 2 last Saturday with Haniza, Boe, Ariff, Aishah Aliah and Mukhriz at Istana Budaya. It was so funny and I couldn't stop laughing. It felt so good to spend Saturday night with my darling friends after so long. The musical was 4 hours long, so after the thing we went straight to NZ Wangsa Maju for dinner around 1am.

Didn't get to take a lot of pics but I will upload one or two pics which I have in my camera soon.

Til then, toodles~

Futsal Tourney

I had to join Scomi's Futsal Tournament last Saturday. Was late, as usual. Had to wait for Nurul at Petronas Ulu Klang, because we wanted to convoy there.

Arrived at 9.15am (when I should arrive at 8.30, eeek), and joined the Avatarians straight for warming up session. Had our first match with the Yellow Team. They were quite good, and we lost 1-0 to them. I sprained my ankle and fell on my bum which still hurts until now. My ankle is swollen, SO HUGE, like a golf ball. Not sure how I'm gonna wear my heels tomorrow for work since I don't have any flat shoes and I can't wear sandals to work. Pfft.

But we had so much fun! Oh and yeah we lost but it's all right because we didn't expect to win at the first place.

Warming up session.
